Whether you run a manufacturing company, a retail business, or even a car showroom, sometimes you need access to extra storage space. Whilst there are quite a few storage options available to you, temporary warehouses are a great solution. They’re cheaper than building an extension or relocating, and can be dismantled as soon as you have no need for them. But should you hire a temporary warehouse on-site or off-site?
On-Site
If you have the space for it, an on-site temporary warehouse can be the best option due to their full flexibility. Temporary warehouses are quick and easy to put together, and can be placed close to your current warehouse, giving you easy access when needed. In addition, this option is also the cheapest, as you only need to rent the warehouse, and not the land it is being placed on.
Off-Site
An off-site warehouse isn’t as easy to order, as you will need to find a suitable space to place your warehouse on, and also consider the cost of this, in addition to the warehouse. Off-site warehouses may also require you to travel back and forth from them, so it’s important to factor in the additional cost of transport and staffing. If there is no room at your current location though, an off-site temporary warehouse can still be a cheaper option than relocating.
Which option is best for you will depend on the current location of your business, and the budget you have available. An on-site temporary warehouse does, however, seem more advantageous.
